Lesson 13

2.三会掌握单词: season, warm, cool , pick,snowman

3.能听懂会说,会读:There are four seasons in a year. They’re spring, summer, fall and winter.

教学重难点:单词fall ,cool的发音以及描述各季节特 征的短语。

教学过程:

Step1: Warm up

(1)歌曲热身 How is the weather?

T: Are you ready?

Ss: Yes.

T: Class begins.

Ss: Stand up

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Ss: Good morning, Miss Chen.

T: Sit down, please.

T: Let’s sing a song: How is the weather?

(2)Review

T: Look and guess. (TPR)I do the action, you guess

the words.

T: sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowy

Ss: sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowy

T: Well done.

T: How is the weather today?

Ss: It’s a … day.

T: Is it hot?

Ss: No.

T: It’s very cold. (drill 操练) Why it is cold?

Now it’s winter.

Step2: Presentation and learning.

(一)教学winter, spring, summer 和fall.

1. Teaching “winter”.

(1). T: Winter is cold.(用发抖的声音读)

What can you think about winter?

Ss:(自由发言)

T: Snowman make snowmen snowmen in winter.

(2).揭示课题 Unit 7 The Seasons Lesson 13

T: Winter is one of the seasons. And today we’re going

to learn Unit7 The seasons Lesson13.

(3). How many seasons in a year?

There are four seasons in a year. What’s the first season?

2. Teaching “spring”.

(1).听鸟叫声,引出“spring”,音标教学。

(2).操练单词,象鸟叫声一样来读“spring”。

(3). Chant.

Spring , spring, spring.

Spring is warm.

Spring is green.

I like spring.

Trees turn green.

3.Teaching “summer”.

T: Now it turns to be the next season summer. Summer

is … .

Ss: Hot.

T: What can you think about summer?

Ss: … .

4. Teaching “fall”.

T: Which is the third season?(听风声)

Ss: Fall

T: Fall ( drill )

5. Play a game. (老师说天气,学生说季节)

T: It’s cold. Ss: Winter.

T: It’s hot. Ss: Summer.

6 . Read a rhyme.

T: Now here’s a rhyme for you “the weather in the four

seasons”. Can you read it? ( 填空题,由易到难)6.观看VCD

(1)Listen and repeat.

(2)Read after the tape.

(3)Read by themselves.

T: Open your book, turn to page 61. Read together.

7. Play a game.

Read as quickly as you can.(看有关四季的图片,如春

节,圣诞节等,快速反应出是在哪一个季节的。)

(二)学习每个季节相对应的短语。

1. 由上一游戏,引出“pick apples We can pick

apples in fall.”

2. 让学生自由发言“I like… . I can … in … .”

T:Which season do you like? What can you do in this

season? Discuss with your partners, then tell us.

3.图配文。

Spring is warm. I like spring. I can fly a kite in spring.

Summer is hot. I like summer. I can go swimming in

summer.

Fall is cool. I like fall. I pick apples in fall.

Winter is cold. I like winter.I can make snowmen in winter.

4.让学生自己编Chant.

Spring is warm. I like spring.Summer is hot. I like summer.Fall is cool. I like fall.Winter is cold. I like winter. 5.观看 VCD。

(1)Listen and repeat.

(4)喜欢哪个季节就起来朗读那个季节。

Step3. Practice拓展教学。

收到一封来自澳洲学生的来信。

1. 认真阅读来信。

Dear Miss Chen,

How are you? I miss you very much. Now I’m in Australia. It’s summer and it’s very hot. I like summer. I can go

swimming and eat ice cream. I miss my friends, too. Hope to hear from you soon.

四.Teaching methods

Our teaching should be able to develop as much as possble children’s different potentials in their intelligences giving everyone the chance to demonstrate and use their potentials to fullest.

So there should not be fixed teaching approaches for particular class. No matter what teaching approaches I apply, I think the Ss must play the principle role in each class. That is student-centered teaching. And also task-based learning and activity-based teaching which includes individual work, pair work, group work and class work.

Step 1:Warming-up

Listen to a song《seasons in the sun》。

Step2 Free talk:

Step2 Presentation

1.Learn the words of seasons

T:Autumn is cooi.Yes or no?(Yes)

T:How many seasons are there in one year? Do you know?

(S: There are four.)

T:They are spring ,summer,autumn and winter.(Show the pictures)

Step1:

Sing an English song” THE MONTHS”

T: Hello, boys and girls.

S: Hello, teacher.

T: Do you remember the song “ MONTHS”

Ss: Yes.

T: Let us sing it together,OK?

[设计意图:课前的歌曲热身,目的是为了集中学生的注意力,把学生的学许热情转移到学习上来,设计一些动作让学生边唱边表演,而且十分投入的合唱,让学生快速进入角色,沉浸在浓厚、的英语学习氛围中,全身心的准备开始教学。而且本节课中涉及到了四季,很自然的从四季中复习了四季,又从四季为以下的教学作了铺垫。]

Step2:

T: The song you sing is very good, Now here we have 12 months, we can divide the 12 months

into 4 seasons. Do you know what are they ?

Ss: Yes .

S1:December January February is spring.

S2: March, April, May is summer.

S3:June,July, August is fall..

S4:September,October November is winter.

T: You know in different seasons we have different clothes.

Can you tell me some clothes we wear in spring?

S1: Jacket.

S2:pants.

T: In summer the temperature is high. Can you tell me some clothes we wear in summer?

S3: Dress.

[设计意图:通过简单问题的提出,学生的思维被全面激活,并且他们被一种成就感包围着,随后我冬季衣着这一问题的提出,自然的引出了今天的新词,学生此时非常渴望的知道冬季衣着该如何用英语的说出。学习兴趣自然非常高昂。]

T: Look, here I have a hat, in winter we can wear a hat.

Do you know what is this?(出示棉衣的图片)

Ss: No.

T: It is a winter jacket. can you guess what is winter jacket?

Ss:棉衣。

T: Yes . It is a winter jacket ,please read after me , jacket

T: Jenny likes winter very much, In winter she puts on her winter jacket, Can you guess the word “put on”.

I put on my winter jacket. Can you say something?

Ss: I put on my mittens.

Ss: I put on my scarf.

Ss: I put on my winter boots.(让学生到黑板前面贴上相应的图片)

[设计意图:学生在此活动中,担当着一个小小设计师的角色,他们对自己创造出的美丽的Jenny肯定特别的喜欢,兴趣也会随之高涨。同时也在活动中练习了所学句型。]

T: Look, now .It is summer 。The temperature is high. It is 32 degrees, very hot. The summer is coming, Jenny takes off her winter jacket, do you know the words” take off”?

[设计意图:练习词组,学生在真正的语言情况下学习单词,记忆效果好]

T: In summer, I take off my winter jacket, I put on my shirt. Who wants to come to the front and say something.
